In the field of health, developments in the production of information and expectations of society increase the need for specialization areas. In order for nursing, one of the basic professions related to health, to provide a strong service to society, it is necessary for it to consist of members with advanced professional knowledge and skills, who can make independent decisions, solve problems, produce information through research and use the information produced effectively, guide their colleagues, and have developed professional values ​​and ethical sensitivity. In our university, the Nursing Master’s program aims for the student to gain detailed information in the relevant nursing field, transfer their knowledge to the field of practice, access information in their field, evaluate information critically, and contribute to their field by conducting scientific research.

The Master’s program within the scope of the Nursing Department aims to train expert practitioners, educators and research nurses equipped with advanced knowledge, understanding and skills in the fields of Fundamentals of Nursing, Internal Medicine Nursing, Surgical Diseases Nursing, Child Health and Diseases Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Public Health Nursing to protect and develop the health of individuals, families and society, to provide special care for diseases and to provide rehabilitation for those with chronic diseases.

Graduates of the Nursing Faculty, Health Sciences Faculty Nursing Department, School of Nursing, and Health School Nursing Department of universities can apply to the Nursing Master’s program. The Nursing Master’s program is thesis-based and requires at least 8 courses and one seminar course to be completed within a two-year period. Master’s courses are carried out theoretically and practically.

Job Opportunities

Candidates who complete the program can work in general and special branch hospitals and centers, community health institutions, as specialist clinical nurses, education nurses, manager nurses and as academicians in universities, in accordance with their areas of expertise.
