General Information
Nursing is a profession focused on protecting, developing and sustaining the health of individuals, families and society. Nurses work wherever there are people. Our department aims to train nurses who will ensure the protection and development of health and the provision of professional quality care to patients; who are sensitive to people and health problems, who adopt professional ethical standards, who can assume a leadership role, who believe in teamwork, who are full of self- and lifelong learning awareness, who can think critically, who have autonomy, who have professional competence and sense of responsibility, who are ready to assume social responsibility and who can respond to the changing health needs of society. In addition to theoretical courses in our department, laboratory practices are carried out on care mannequins and system models and students’ studies are carried out under the guidance of experienced academic staff. Laboratory tools and materials are updated in line with the latest innovations in educational technology, and it is aimed for students to have up-to-date knowledge and skills in nursing practices. Our students also have the opportunity to do internships/practice with faculty members in various health institutions, schools, nurseries, nursing homes and community health centers.
Job Opportunities
There are wide job opportunities offered to nurses all over the world and in our country. Graduates of the program can work in the health sector in Turkey and abroad, in both private and public institutions, as clinical nurses, manager nurses, education nurses, supervisor nurses, and special branch nurses. They can work in the tourism sector, in prisons, and in workplaces, and can also take part in the academic staff of universities.
